A Lifetime of Stories
Dear Family, I was a dear friend of my cousin and David’s mother Dale Ann Thompson Martin Ochalek. We did everything together. I remember the joy Dale Ann had when she became pregnant with Brad. And they loved each other so much! At Dale Ann’s tragic death, Brad suffered intolerable. Since the priest could not be there, I conducted the service at the cemetery. Brad and Tim were so distraught. We all embraced and Brad cried and cried. This is another tragedy that has happened in a family who has suffered through so many tragedies. All we can do is pray and carry on. God bless Dale Ann and Brad, and all the other people in this family who have suffered tragic deaths too early in life.

To my incredible cousin who started my love with Stephen King. “May we meet in the clearing at the end of the path when all worlds end”- Stephen King

Although I do not have a ton of memories with my cousin since there was a big age gap between us, I will always remember him making everyone laugh at family gatherings for holidays. Brad also got me into reading Stephen King books, and King has become my favorite author of all time, and I’ll always remember that it was my cousin who introduced me to my favorite past time.

I worked with Brad at BeneSys around 2010 and he was a great guy. Great sense of humor and a hard worker. He’ll be missed.

I worked with Brad at BeneSys for many years. He was always so helpful in his role with IT. No matter the problem, he stayed on line until it was resolved. He was very bright, kind, and professional. Godspeed Brad.

Brad was so kind and generous with his time. I worked for his mom Dale for years at Benesys prior to her passing in 2013. Brad never failed to assist with an IT issue when needed. I know his mom’s passing was devastating to him. They are together again. ❤️

I had the privilege of working with Brad at Benesys for about eight years, and I’ve known him since 2013. From the very beginning, he was incredibly kind and patient, always willing to help me learn everything I needed to know in the technical support department. Brad was so knowledgeable in our field, and his guidance made a lasting impact on me.
Over the years, Brad, Cameron Pfister, and I became more than just coworkers, we became family. I’ve yet to work with anyone who made the office feel as warm and welcoming as Brad did. He had a way of lifting your spirits, even on the toughest days. I still laugh thinking about how he used to tease me for eating “cookies” for breakfast, referring to my go-to BelVita biscuits. He also introduced me to Hi-Chew candy, which I’ve been enjoying ever since.
Brad was thoughtful, generous, and had a sense of humor that could brighten any room. Even after we no longer worked together, we never lost touch. Whenever we texted or talked, it always felt like no time had passed.
I will miss him deeply and hold on to the hope of seeing him again in paradise. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Brad was truly one of a kind.

I worked with Brad and his mother Dale at BeneSys for many years. He was always quick to help in any way possible, often taking it upon himself to help complete tasks that did not fall under his area of responsibility. I always told him not to worry and get too involved, but he was all about helping his friends and teammates.
My wife being from Saint Louis, our family takes annual trips there to visit her friends and family. Brad would always ask what we planned to do, and share stories from when he was a kid living there and tips about what to see and do.
I think fondly of the times we would go out after work as the tight-knit IT group that we were, to vent about our struggles, and laugh about it all at the same time. Brad was a wonderful coworker and friend, and I will miss him.

I too worked with Brad and Dale for many years and slowly became friends with his family.
Poor Brad had to take my Monday morning calls because I would always get my computer locked by forgetting my password, but he always took my call. He could help with any technical problem you had.
Brad knew I loved his French Onion soup and there was a container on my desk. He loved going to Eastern Market on Saturday and telling me about getting this great piece of meat to smoke. He was over the moon when he got his smoker. Sorry not to see his onion soup recipe not on his sight. It was the best.
Brad was a good friend and I truly miss him.
